Senior Improvement Engineer

Now in his ninth year with ViP Jean-Paul has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Sheffield University, and has over 20 years of manufacturing experience. His career started in the textiles industry where he worked across multiple sites in a variety of supervisory and operational management roles. He then moved into Industrial Engineering before taking up a Group Improvement role for a pan-European organisation supplying polyurethane foam, where he led and facilitated a multi-site Lean implementation transition.

With extensive experience in training, leading and developing production teams, Jean-Paul has led many cross-functional improvement teams throughout the print and packaging industry from shop-floor to board room. He is passionate about the engagement of staff in re-engineering business and supply chain processes to deliver customer value.

Christian Charlton

Process Improvement Engineer

Christian Charlton has over 15 years experience in the Print and Packaging industry.  Prior to joining Vision in Print he worked for Prinovis Liverpool Ltd as Finishing and Polybagging Manager and before that as Continuous Improvement engineer with other print and packaging companies.

An engineering graduate of the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, Christian followed a rigorous graduate programme with D S Smith Packaging, after spending two years as a printer for St Ives.  He has used 'Lean' techniques throughout his career and has designed led Lean programmes on an improvement projects basis.

As a manufacturing professional he is now committed to the delivery of manufacturing best practice techniques for productivity improvement to suit the UK Printing Industry.

Garry Mellor

Process Improvement Engineer

Garry has over 30 years manufacturing experience in the aerospace and defence industries, working in production, engineering and operations management. He has an HNC in electromechanical engineering from Basingstoke technical college, and recently completed an NVQ level 3 in Management and Leadership.

Throughout his career, Garry has been involved with continuous improvement and implementing lean techniques. He has taught and led teams through numerous lean projects, empowering individuals and delivering tangible results.

Before joining Vision in Print, Garry worked for Danaher's Sensors and controls division as production manager, and previously as manufacturing engineer and cell leader at Muirhead Aerospace. In both companies Garry was also involved in quality and project management roles.

Provides administrative support to the Vision in Print Team.
