The PPM Organisation's effectiveness is the result of the way in which it brings together industry people with different experiences and persuasions but with shared objectives. Learning therefore takes place in a positive atmosphere of critical, mutual commitment and motivation.

Membership also means meeting people looking for solutions to problems with which you can immediately identify. Sharing, interacting and comparing notes. PPM activities create a unique synergy, which benefits individuals, companies and the industry as a whole.

Who can join?

Membership is open to all managers, potential managers, executives, students and apprentices from the printing, packaging and graphic communications industries. Members must be over 18 years of age. However, because the PPM Organisation recognises the need for lifetime learning, there is now no upper age limit.

If your company is a member of the BPIF you are eligible for full membership status. However, if your company is not yet a full or associate member of the BPIF you can join the PPM Organisation as an associate member. If you are studying full time at a recognised printing college you can join as a student member.

How we operate

We organise structural training programmes, company visits, study tours, business meetings and formal gatherings, all geared to the personal requirements of members and the business objectives of their companies.

Any young person with management aspirations should insist that his/ her employer sponsor membership of the PPM. From involvement will come confidence, leadership skills, organisation, motivation and a wider knowledge of the industry and its people.

The PPM, like the BPIF is divided into six regions covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
