Transforming Print - BPIF Annual Review 2010/11

This is my final year as your President and my two-year term has seen the worst trading conditions in living memory. It is with some relief therefore that I am able to go at a time when print's prospects are looking brighter, with our latest Printing Outlook Survey confirming four successive quarters of growth in our industry ending March this year.

Best Practices in Socially Responsible Restructuring

Sparked by the 11% fall in European print production that took place from 2008 to mid-2009, a year-long EU-sponsored project headed up by Intergraf (the European printing employers confederation, of which BPIF is a member) and Uni Europa Graphical (the European print trade union confederation) has examined the impact of structural changes in the European printing industry brought about by shifts in technologies, markets and social/demographic patterns, and the implications of this for employees and skills needs. The objectives of the project were to share experience, information and best practice from companies across Europe, and to develop guidance for employers and employees.
ICPS Managers Toolkit 2010

ICPS has a strong commitment to adding value to its members through quality services. Its mission is to improve the competitiveness of in-plant print operations in order to ensure their long-term future. Frequently in-house operations are cut following spending reviews or when kit needs to be renewed, caused predominantly due to a lack of a 'defence' case, when in fact there is a strong case to be made. Unfortunately, when operations find themselves in this position, they cannot afford the external advice to help them pull through.
BPIF Annual Review 2009/2010

Despite the trials we have faced during a year of huge economic upheaval, I am pleased to report that the appeal of BPIF membership remains as strong as ever, with a number of major companies joining and retaining membership. It isn't hard to see why though, given the many achievements and service improvements the BPIF has delivered over the past year, such as carbon management, dotgain.org, and an extensive selection of commercial products covering insurance, mergers and acquisitions and training.

BPIF Annual Review 2008/2009

As we’re now all painfully aware, the world has changed dramatically since October last year. The past year has been a time of huge uncertainty for our members and for your Federation, as we have all faced the worst trading conditions experienced for decades. Why work with the European printing industry?
