2011 starts with some slightly more positive news both from the Bank of England Agent for the Midlands reporting small signs of improvement in certain sectors and the ongoing availability of overseas business funding for the region proving profitable for some regional companies who're expanding abroad.

Together with the HSE and Safety Groups UK, Nottinghamshire Occupational Safety and Health Association are presenting a one day seminar on preventing dermatitis at work. It will be held on 28th November at Nottingham Forest Football Club. Full details are posted on the HSE website events page. Please book your place early as this will be a very popular seminar.

After 25 years at Alum Rock Road the BPIF has sold its Midland's head office for redevelopment and has moved to modern, more suitable 2,500 sq ft premises in Meriden, the official 'centre' of England.
