Eterna ECUT 1060 E Cuts Costs at Bootyman Print

In October 2022 an Eterna ECUT 1060 E Die-Cutter with full waste stripping was installed at Bootyman Print and Packaging in Hull. iPack Solutions recently went back to see how they were getting along 7 months after the installation.

Specialising in a comprehensive range of printing services and solutions including wet glue, self-adhesive labels, offset printing, digital printing and large format printing to the carton board packaging, food, beverage, and industrial sectors, Bootyman can offer a wide range of products to all customers and industries. This is why the investment of the ECUT 1060 E has been a welcome addition to the business with its precision cutting, versatility of materials and consistent results.

To date the main benefits for Bootyman have been time efficiency and the reduction in manual handling, with the automatic non-stop delivery system which is easy to operate, running jobs at 6,800 sheets an hour to full speed at 7,500 sheets an hour. With the 1mm cutting plate system, full quick locking of the cutting chase and stripping section this user-friendly machine has provided the team with a reduction in tooling changeover time, set up and make ready time has reduced from 2 hours to less than 25 minutes, ultimately improving productivity resulting in considerable cost savings for the business. Combined with a very competitive price point, the ECut 1060E is a compelling investment for carton packaging and general printing companies.
