SOLOPRESS IN THE SPOTLIGHT
BPIF member Solopress was in the spotlight recently, when local MP Sir James Duddridge visited the Southend firm. Sir James, MP for Rochford & South East, met with Solopress Managing Director Simon Cooper and staff, to tour the site and learn about the role SMEs like Solopress play in the local economy.
Sir James was especially interested to learn about the company’s quick turnaround times – with printing, flyers and business cards all produced within 24 hours – to support start-ups to get off the ground. He saw how the Qlik system allows a dashboard view of all jobs at any one time, and how the HP Indigos, Agfa large format and Heidelberg litho machines all work.
Sir James, Simon and BPIF Head of Membership Development Craig De Souza also discussed how the Government can support SMEs, including connecting with other businesses and encouraging young people from the local area into lifelong careers in print.
