The British Book Design & Production Awards are back to kick off the new year!

The British Book Design & Production Awards are back to kick off the new year!

On 24 January the BPIF (British Printing Industries Federation) will be hosting the 2023 British Book Design & Production Awards once again in the beautiful De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

The event will showcase some of the best talent in British book production across 18 categories. At the end of the night, the overall winner will be presented with the highly sought-after Book of the Year Award.

General Manager – BPIF Books, Simon Crump comments:

“The Book Awards are the highlight of the book industries year. They are a chance to see all the really great book printing that is done in the industry and especially in the UK. The awards have expanded this year to include a new and highly topical category around sustainability, which is so important to us all. Books can lead the way in this area being a sustainable product and part of the circular economy. It is also a great evening to make new connections and celebrate all that is best in the industry”.

This year’s awards will be hosted by Illustrator and Graphic Designer, Anita Mangan, whose quirky and colourful work includes illustration of over 85 books, homewares and stationery, art direction and even animation.

Guests will have the chance to see the all the shortlisted books in person in a display at the beginning of the evening, before enjoying a three-course meal and watching the ceremony.

The standard of entries this year has been, as always, outstanding, and these awards are a wonderful opportunity particularly for the many student entrants who can showcase their achievement of being shortlisted or winning as an impressive credential for future employment.

There are still tickets available for this year’s BBD&PAs. To find out more about the awards and book your ticket, visit www.britishbookawards.org or email Heena at [email protected].

The BPIF would like to thank its sponsors: Canon, Diamond Print Services, Halstan, Intelligent Finishing Systems, Muller Martini, Sappi, The Printing Charity, Winter & Company and media partners Oxford Brookes University, BookMachine and The Bookseller.
