Konica Minolta named in Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2024 report

Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) announced that the UK-based global information service company, Clarivate Plc, has named Konica Minolta among the Top 100 Global Innovators for a third consecutive year.

Konica Minolta is committed to creating high-quality intellectual property (IP) and highly profitable businesses that deliver sustainable corporate value and make a valuable contribution to solving social issues. The company does this through proactive investments and activities, a strong commitment to technology innovation, the empowerment of its teams and close collaboration with its customers and partners,

The company owns high-level IP that includes automatic quality optimisation in the Professional Print Business, which automates the machine adjustment, quality control and inspection processes of digital printing and realises higher efficiency and user-friendly operation that does not require special skills. In its Medical Imaging Business, a Dynamic Radiography Analysis combines with Dynamic Digital Radiography to enable high-value-added image diagnosis.

To create the top 100 global innovators list, Clarivate uses its own IP and patent data to identify companies and organisations that have met the qualifying criteria of having filed 500 or more patent applications since 2000 and been granted 100 or more patents during the past five years. It then uses four factors: Influence, Success, Globalisation and Rarity, to evaluate each of the candidates.
