Falconer Print & Packaging beefs up capacity with new Speedmaster XL75-6 L

Falconer Print & Packaging has beefed up its capacity with investment in a new Speedmaster XL75-6+L mixed operation press. The new machine will significantly improve lead-times and offer greater flexibility. The company hopes to gain the benefits of quicker makereadies and greater colour control, thus providing better flexibility and delivering even more impressive results.

“We looked at various manufacturers, but as a current HEIDELBERG user we already knew the capabilities of their presses and excellent backup service,” says Richard Martin, Managing Director, Falconer Print & Packaging. “With this investment, Falconer Print & Packaging continues its drive to be one of the leading companies in the sector.”

The press operators at Falconer are looking forward to operating the new press, says Richard, as they are already comfortable with the operation of HEIDELBERG machines. Of course, there will be some new features on the press, but the learning curve is expected to be minimal.

The specification of the new press will allow Falconer Print & Packaging to have mixed operation allowing them to run both UV & conventional inks & varnishes, giving the customer more flexibility when designing their packaging.

“We are delighted that Falconer Print & Packaging chose HEIDELBERG as their business partner for this investment, which is testament to the strong working relationship, in both sales and post sales service and backup, we have both enjoyed and benefitted from. The investment in the latest generation Speedmaster XL75-6+L, with Axis control, Autoplate and Intelliline options, will be a superb fit for the business and offer technological advantages in this sector. The Speedmaster XL75 provides maximum flexibility thanks to the extensive configuration options for the most demanding requirements in the packaging market. We are certain that the new investment will help Falconer Print & Packaging to achieve significant growth and reach new heights of productivity,” says Phil Buttress Head of Sales for HEIDELBERG UK & Ireland.

Established in 1987 and still privately owned, Falconer Print & Packaging are manufacturers of Printed Folding Cartons to the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Giftware, Healthcare, Drinks, Veterinary and Luxury confectionery sectors. Incorporating high quality added value finishes, embellishments and braille embossing.
