About the Survey

This annual study provides insights into the printing industry’s current state and future directions, focusing on evolving market dynamics, technological advancements, investment patterns, revenue changes, job and print volume shifts, software investment preferences, and automation levels. The analysis covers key areas such as Dashboards & Analytics, eCommerce4Print, Print MIS/ERP, Production Automation, Variable Data Printing, AI, and more.

In Keypoint's  2023 survey, they discovered key trends and challenges in the industry. Companies experienced varying financial changes, with specialized print service providers (PSPs) like direct mail showing optimism, while in-plants predicted modest growth. Regional differences were notable, with Canada facing revenue shrinkage and the Northeast US performing strongly. Smaller companies faced more challenges compared to mid-sized firms, which showed growth. Respondents highlighted rising costs, paper availability, and an aging workforce as major concerns. Automation and software investments were higher among in-plants and specialized PSPs.

By participating, you will influence software development, guide industry trends and opportunities, and position yourself as an industry leader.
