Sexual Harassment – the ‘preventative duty’
Changes are due to come into force 26th October 2024, introducing a new duty on employers to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment of their workers – referred to as ‘the preventative duty’. This is not a simple ‘tick-box’ exercise and employers will need to show evidence of the reasonable steps taken – our HR team are currently busy building an 8-point plan of tools and templates for members.
