POTTS PRINT (UK) CELEBRATES A YEAR OF TRANSFORMATIVE INVESTMENT AND GROWTH

Potts Print (UK) Limited is proud to reflect on a year of bold investments and strategic growth that have strengthened its position as an industry leader. Over the past 12 months, the company has committed significant resources to expanding its capabilities, enhancing customer experience & product quality and driving sustainable innovation.

In April 2024, Potts Print were certified to ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems by British Assessment Bureau. As an evolving business catering for many customers in the direct mail sector, achieving ISO 27001 certification underpins Potts Print's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security for its customers and stakeholders.

Potts Print installed a brand-new Canon iX3200 varioPRINT B3 digital inkjet press with high-capacity stacker in June 2024. The state-of-the-art press replaced a Xerox iGen within the digital printing department and sits alongside Xerox lridesse & Nuvera presses. The Canon iX3200 - which has production speeds of up to 4,500 SRA3 sheets per hour - supports strategic growth within variable data direct mail printing. In addition, its advanced automation and energy-efficient design made it a smart choice for Potts Print, boost productivity, while maintaining their commitment to sustainability.

Installation of a £200,000 photovoltaic solar system at Potts Print's HQ Atlas in Cramlington, Northumberland began in July 2024 via CrowdHouse Energy. The install covers the south-facing roof of Atlas House and is estimated to produce over 365,000 kWh which equates 60% of power requirements for the facility. The investment supports Potts Print's objective to reach Net Zero by 2040 by further reducing their operational carbon footprint by 76 tCOze annually.

In November, Potts Print took delivery of a £130,000 Vantage 720 folder gluer from Moll to double carton finishing capabilities and reduce lead times. The Moll is capable of producing crash-lock and four corner. It can also produce two up sleeves through the machine with pre-break

Finally, in December Potts Print took delivery of two Horizon finishing systems - a AVF-56K iCE folder and a CRF-362 creaser/folder. The AVF-56K iCE folder replaces an existing AFC-566FG folder - which has performed more than 70 million folds since 2016 - and offers a wide variety of fold patterns across uncoated and coated stocks. The CRF-362 creaser/folder is a new addition to the finishing department. It can handle fold patterns across a wide range of light and heavy weight coated & uncoated stocks.
