Dotgain.org launches first in a series of workshops with success
"Anything that can go digital, will go digital", Benny Landa.
"Dotgain.org is BPIF's new member organisation, dedicated to providing printers with all the tools they need to adapt and evolve in the ever-changing printing market place. Our aim is to teach them how to take advantage of these changes and exploit new innovations, technologies and applications", Michael Johnson, CEO, BPIF.
In this new business of print, dotgain.org launched the first in a series of exciting new practical workshops, starting with 'A Practical Guide to Solution Selling'. Led by sales and printing expert Tony Kenton, who has over 30 years of printing experience and has led 600 workshops and projects. He opened with an industry overview, highlighting all the market changes, but rather than be concerned about these changes, he inspired the attendees by showing where there is change - there are also massive opportunities. These opportunities, in the form of digital solutions, can provide added benefits and value to your clients. By also being customer centric, adopting the right sales approach, making use of case studies and strategic planning, and staying focused on the outcome not just the output, will result in real ROI and ensures printers are staying one step ahead in the new business of print.
Attendees from 15 printing organisations left entertained and motivated and were promised follow up material by Tony Kenton, covering the main points and re-enforcing his useful sales tips.
Steve Summers, Director, Sherwood Press commented, "A good seminar with construction, purpose and objectives...looking forward to receiving the work sheets, to cascade to The Sales Team".
Given the success of this first workshop, we will be replicating it for our northern members and non-members on Tuesday September 28 at the Konica Minolta site in Warrington.
"Given the general mood of the industry out there, it came as joy (and a relief) to get such great response and feedback to the dotgain.org workshop. A full day of exploring new opportunities, practical guides to generating solution sales and developing our own unique message, left us all tired but most definitely motivated", said Tony Kenton, Workshop Leader.
