Print Company We Are Promotional On Course to Raise £1000 For Local Charity

Team members Dean, Joshua and Adam are putting on their running shoes come April in a challenge to raise money for local charity and education centre Derwen College based in Oswestry, Shropshire. The print company will be running the Oswestry Half Marathon sporting custom branded garments with the Derwen College logo to raise more awareness.

The Derwen College is raising aspirations, demonstrating talents and changing perceptions by working with a large number of people with learning and physical conditions. The charity was founded 90 years ago and continues to provide great support and education for young people with thanks to fundraising initiatives such as this.

The Derwen college has a printing facility on site, where students can learn printing techniques such as screen printing and dye sublimation printing. These skills help towards gaining future employment and also help the college fundraise, as students print their own artwork and sell gifts such as T-shirts, mugs and bags in an onsite shop.

As well as donating branded merchandise for the event, We Are Promotional Products have gifted over £400 so far, with this figure likely to increase over the coming months.

"Our focus for this year is fundraising to ensure that our swimming pool remains in service" says Jade Turner from Derwen College, "This highly valuable and popular resource has served our students for well over 40 years but sadly the heating system has become unreliable and we increasingly need to close the facility for repair."
