Investment news for Hickling & Squires
Nottingham based printer Hickling & Squires who print brochures, folders, booklets and prospectuses - including some small format work as small as 100x100mm which already has both litho and digital printing facilities has increased their in-house finishing capability with a new Muller Martini Presto.
Jamie Gilbert, Production Director at H&S said "we outgrew our old Stitchmaster and needed more stations and a quicker machine, the Presto has great setup speed, flexibility and ease-of-use and is very user-friendly. It can also gather signatures for perfect binding, if required - Gilbert said the firm had already tried out this facility. There is a lot of demand for fast turnaround work, from 24-hour to same-day on some jobs, Gilbert added and the new finishing line marks a sizable investment for us."
Muller Martini sales manager David McGinlay said: "We're obviously delighted to secure this order and it's interesting that the Presto's quick makeready and flexibility mean Hickling & Squires is achieving higher net output than on the ST350, even though that had a faster cycle speed."
Dawn Reid, Regional Director for the Midlands added, "it's great to hear of continued new investment within our members, it's generally a sign of confidence within the business and links to other positive outcomes too."
