BPIF and Canon joint networking event
The BPIF were kindly hosted by Canon at their new showroom ‘The Centre' on Birmingham Business Park by the NEC for their great ‘Future-proof your Business Strategy' event held on 22nd November.
Aiming to cut through some of the uncertainty we're about to face in 2018 and beyond, the day was designed to counter the dropping confidence among Print Service Providers regarding the future of the UK economy, by injecting some positivity, whilst at the same time hopefully helping in the planning and development of robust strategies for 2018 - which should be top of the agenda for every print business owner.
From the falling pound to continual pressure from competitor pricing, there are many external market forces influencing our sector - the majority outside of our control. So the day aimed to look at what we can control and do to mitigate the risks and ensure your company continues to thrive...
Finding these answers on your own can be challenging, so BPIF along with Canon pulled together a panel, made up of Charles Jarrold, CEO, BPIF - Tony Kenton, Director, It Has To Be Brilliant - Martin Reynolds, MD, Solent Design Studio - Wayne Kershaw, National Sales Manager, Canon and moderated by Brendan Perring, Editor, Printing Monthly to tackle these questions head on. They looked at topics such as:
- What's next for the printing industry and how to set your business for success in 2018 and beyond
- How to improve company performance through strategic innovation
- How to create high performing teams to help you grow your business
- What latest innovations can support your future business growth
Members in attendance then had the opportunity to put questions to the panel themselves providing for an interactive morning session coupled with afternoon presentations and a tour of the facility. The Centre is where Canon also currently print the BPIF industry magazine, Inprint, which is finished and mailed locally too.
