Happy retirement to Bob Loach
The members of the Midland Regional Board and the BPIF team would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Bob Loach, formerly of FF Allsopp based in Ilkeston, for the time and support given to the BPIF and the region over three decades in a variety of roles including the previous District Association and YMP – where he was fondly remembered for his fancy dress costumes!
Bookbinding has been part of the firm's heritage since it was established in Nottingham in 1901 with Bob and his father - who joined the Company in 1944 - steering the firm through some major changes and developments in the industry whilst growing its reputation for reliability and excellence.
Bob has only recently stepped down as Chairman of FF Allsopp & Co Ltd. However the family has a book named after them in the portfolio offered through a range produced through the new side of the group - The Bespoke Album Company https://www.bespokealbumcompany.com/our-story/
Bob has also previously held the Chair of the Midland Regional Board. Dawn Reid, Regional Director for the Midlands area added, "Bob has been a stalwart of the BPIF but equally has challenged and provided much appreciated guidance and support to me and the team over the years. I sincerely hope our paths cross in future and he has my very best wishes in his new endeavours, he will be sadly missed."
