Infigo Software is set to launch two game-changing developments to its innovative MegaEdit design tool at PrintWeekLive!, including an InDesign plug in that will transform artwork upload capabilities

It has been a very busy 12 months at Infigo Software; the announcements of a number of key partnerships and software developments have established the brand's credentials as a distinctive print e-commerce provider. Infigo Software will launch two major enhancements to its MegaEdit design tool at PrintWeekLive! next week, showcasing the developments for the first time at the prestigious event at the Ricoh Arena on the 7th and 8th March.

The first of these is a game-changing Adobe InDesign plug-in for MegaEdit, which will revolutionise artwork creation and template building in the MegaEdit design product. Users can now simply upload their designs directly from Adobe InDesign, and the variable fields and image placeholders will be automatically created in MegaEdit. MegaEdit, which was originally developed as an easy-to-use personalised photobook and photo-gifting design tool, has evolved to be a far more sophisticated and complete software package, yet still easy to use and adaptable to the needs of its growing client list.

The demand for engaging personalisation has increased dramatically, growing Infigo's client base to include suppliers and e-commerce businesses in almost every sector, offering all manner of personalised products: from marketing materials to business stationery, clothing and household items, to packaging and labels, and even number plates! With this, Infigo recognised the need to provide a dynamic solution, and it has evolved the MegaEdit product accordingly.

The InDesign plug-in is the latest update that makes the design tool more flexible and user friendly than ever before. The new functionality will significantly reduce template building tasks, cutting workloads and removing duplication of work in the design stage, saving time for artworkers and ultimately creating financial savings across the process.

Further to this, the talented front-end development team at Infigo Software have been working on new functionality to the MegaEdit 3D preview tool. The product preview removes a barrier to purchase, delivering a ‘try-before-you-buy' experience that means customers can see what they are getting before they order. This enviable user experience really sets the product apart, enhancing customers' buying journeys, and the latest development to the tool takes this to a new level, with the opportunity to offer greater self-service preview capabilities to customers than ever before.

The capabilities of the MegaEdit 3D preview tool have been developed further, and the tool now enables personalised and variable areas to include special finishes. Multiple light angles, custom surface reflections, and simulated embossing, varnish and engraving options make it possible to generate truly true-to-life previews, all compatible with ESKO. The company believe that this will open the door for its clients to offer truly market-leading personalised print and products.

Douglas Gibson, comments, "This enhancement to the MegaEdit 3D preview tool is something that will have huge appeal to premium brands looking to create stand out through the most impactful personalisation. The 3D module already makes the user experience something that we are very proud of, but this latest functionality means customers will no longer need to speak to a printer to add special finishes; they can see a 3D visual representation of their personalised order, including special finish options, before they buy. We envisage this increasing the scope for brands to offer distinctive personalised products, which is ideal for the booming personalised gift market and premium brand and packaging producers".

With these developments, Infigo Software demonstrates its commitment to delivering an unrivalled user experience, with its clients' needs firmly at its core. To set itself apart from the commoditised, off-the-shelf solutions, Infigo constantly strives to deliver more to set its clients' businesses apart from their competitors. It is this that the company believes has led to it being voted number 12 in this years' PrintWeek Power 100 list of suppliers.
