Bristol, UK – September 5, 2018: Organisers of The Print Show have revealed that this year’s event will be the largest-ever edition of the exhibition, with more floor space and exhibitors than ever before.

Returning to the NEC in Birmingham, The Print Show 2018 will take place in hall nine of the gigantic venue, relocating to a larger hall due to demand for stands at this year’s event.

The Print Show 2018 will welcome many leading brands that have supported the event for a number of years. Epson has enjoyed a presence at the show since its launch in 2015, while the likes of Konica Minolta, Vivid Laminating Technologies, Morgana and RISO are also long-term backers.

Also returning this year is HP, which enjoyed a hugely successful debut at the 2017 show, while Hybrid Services will once again be featuring wide-format kit from top manufacturer Mimaki.

Xerox will also have a presence at the show on the Xeretec stand, with plans to demonstrate the new Iridesse press to a UK trade show audience for the first time. Duplo International will be launching a range of new finishing kit at the show, while Watkiss and Perfect Bindery Solutions will also be on hand to talk visitors through their own finishing technology.

In addition, The Print Show will play host to some of the leading suppliers and distributors in the UK market. This year, the exhibition will welcome the likes of CMYUK, printMAX, Signmaster Systems and Colourbyte.

Chris Davies, event director for The Print Show, said: “The Print Show 2018 will be bigger and better than ever before. The fact that so many leading brands have confidence in the event and continue to support us year-on-year shows just how important the show is for the UK market.

“This year, The Print Show will once again be the scene for a number of new kit and equipment launches from a number of top brand. Nowhere else can you see all of this new technology in the same place, as well as have the opportunity to speak with experts from the biggest names in print.”

Leading brands gear up to showcase opportunities

Konica Minolta is one of many returning names at The Print Show this year and has set out plans to showcase some of its latest solutions to visitors. The digital print giant has set its sights on ‘innovation’ at the event and is keen to speak with attendees about how its kit can support both commercial and industrial print.

Elsewhere, Xeikon will demonstrate how its technology can be used to produce commercial print, labels and packaging work. Xeikon will also highlight how the “possibilities and synergies” of its digital print production solutions are continuing to expand under its ownership by the Flint Group.

Other highlights at The Print Show 2018 include the first UK public showing of the new Xerox Iridesse on the Xeretec stand. This will certainly be of interest to the thousands of visitors and it has already been creating something of buzz on the continent with its gamut of gold, silver and clear inks, in addition to CMYK.

Duplo International, which will feature on one of the largest stands at The Print Show 2018, has also revealed that it will be making new launches at the show. At the centre of the Duplo stand will be several new products including the DC-516 Cutter Creaser, the PFI-2100 Binder and an updated iSaddle X Saddle Stitcher.

Another top finishing brand in the form of Watkiss Automation will be using the event as a launch platform for its new PSQ160-WH hand-feed bookletmaker, the latest addition to its PowerSquare range. In addition, finishing specialist Renz will be unveiling the new F400 HD Cold UV Coater in partnership with Argos Solutions.

Educating the industry

Aside from this showcase of the best in printing and finishing technology, The Print Show will once again host a series of special, free-to-access features to help visitors get the most out of their visit.

The Traditional Print Masterclass, Printers’ Bazaar, Business Seminar Theatre and Software Training Theatre all return this year, with visitors able to attend each area without the need to book. In addition, visitors can enjoy a brand new feature in the form of ‘Park Life’.

One of the most popular show features since the event debuted in 2015, the Traditional Print Masterclass will offer a glance into print’s past, with visitors able to view printing techniques that have helped to shape the modern industry, as well as produce their own work to take away as a souvenir.

The Business Seminar Theatre will feature a series of expert speakers, each set to deliver presentations on some of the major talking points in print. The Software Training Theatre will provide the need-to-know information for the top software products in the industry and educate visitors about how they can best use these to enhance print output.

Elsewhere, the Printers’ Bazaar will this year feature six specialist areas that are designed to offer an insight into major growth markets across print. Friedheim International will sponsor this area and also head up the ‘Print and Packaging’ section.

Duplo International will educate visitors in the ‘Speciality Print Finishing’ area, while Marqetspace will focus on ‘Textile Printing Products’. Meanwhile, The Magic Touch will offer advice on ‘Garment Printing’, with Signmaster Systems to tackle ‘Large-Format Print’. In addition, printMAX will speak with attendees about ‘Promotional Print Products’.

Elsewhere, new for this year is ‘Park Life’, which has been designed to help dispel conceptions that print and paper are bad for the environment. Here, visitors can take a break from exploring the show floor and enjoy a rest in seating areas located under a canopy of trees.

The Print Show 2018 takes place from September 18th to 20th at the NEC in Birmingham. Registration is open now and tickets are free for all visitors.
