Taylor Bloxham Group first to achieve BPIF colour product test certificate
Taylor Bloxham Group (TBG), based in Leicester, is celebrating being the first print company to achieve the BPIF's product test certificate for the ‘professional level' of the BPIF Colour Quality Management Certifcation Scheme which is a UKAS accredited scheme. The certification has been awarded to the company by Print Media Certification after a multi-million pound investment programme in both premises and equipment.
To achieve the qualification, which took weeks of preparation and hard work, the TBG was required to demonstrate that it had reached and maintained the standards required by the professional level of the BPIF Colour Quality Management Certification Scheme in this specific area of print quality.
Preparations for the assessment included an MOT-style operation on the relevant machinery to ensure everything was in order for the tests required by the standard. Chris Bolton, Technical Colour Specialist, at the TBG said, "The 12647/2 standard is notoriously difficult to achieve within the print industry - demonstrated by the fact that we're the first company to receive the ‘professional level' of the BPIF Colour Quality Management Certification Scheme."
Jamie Towers, General Manager at Taylor Bloxham, added, "This certification is testament to the ambitious programme of investment we've carried out over the last 12 months. We aim to lead the industry with state-of-the-art machinery that enables faster print speeds, greater colour definition and the highest print quality."
Dawn Reid, Regional Director for the BPIF also added, "This is great news for the company and a great pay back for all the hard work and investment they've recently made."
