Glossop Cartons faces public vote for business award
One of the UK's leading manufacturers of carton board packaging products, Glossop Cartons, has been shortlisted in two categories of a major family business award, and customers, suppliers and other industry contacts now have the opportunity to support the firm in a public vote.
A finalist in both the Manufacturing Excellence and Family Business of the Year categories of the Midlands Family Business Awards, Glossop Cartons has been entered into the People's Choice category, the winner of which is selected following a public vote.
Established in 1982 by Raymond Every, Glossop Cartons remains in the family, with Raymond's daughters Jacky Sidebottom-Every, Vicky Every and Jill Woodacre sales director, marketing and commercial manager and production director respectively; Jacky's husband Brian is the managing director.
The Midlands Family Business Awards shortlistings follow a recent award win by Glossop Cartons, who was earlier this month named as a Stockport Business Awards Business of the Year.
Said Jacky Sidebottom-Every: "Our award achievements are testament to the hard work and tenacity of the entire Glossop Cartons team. They are not only gratifying, but also motivational, and as such will help propel our business forward, as we strive to further improve our customer offer.
"It's been a busy year for us, as we've continued to invest in the latest packaging technology, staff and systems to enable the sustainable delivery of innovative packaging solutions, and we would be delighted if some of our valued industry friends would like to help us to round off 2018 by winning the People's Choice Midlands Family Business Award."
Nominations open on 22nd October and run until midnight on 15th November and voting is free of charge and can be done via www.familybusinessawards.co.uk. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Leicester on 22nd November.
Glossop Cartons is an established name in packaging across many markets, including pharmaceutical, beauty, food and drink, vapes and household, and counts a number of blue-chip companies among its customers. This year, it invested in the UK's first Brausse Forza 900 C3 folder-gluer.
