Mercia Image Print awarded prestigious status
Derby's longest established and successful commercial printers, Mercia Image, from Little Eaton, have recently been appointed as ‘Preferred Print Supplier' for Derby County Community Trust (DCCT).
Will Turner, DCCT Partnerships & Impact Manager and Megan Patrick, Head of Marketing & Communications, were thrilled at confirming this appointment. Will commented, "We're delighted to be working with another local company who has invested in our community and are contributing towards the growth of local charities and businesses. "Being able to rely on quality printing, a stone's throw away, is a huge advantage of working with Mercia. They are always willing to help find solutions and suggest ideas to ensure we produce top quality material."
Mercia Image Print, are due to celebrate their 30th year in business, in 2019, a great achievement in a volatile market place. Amanda Strong, Owner/MD, has been at the helm since the business started and has driven the business with a clear and precise strategy - to offer the very best in print, from a small business card run to a large run of intricate brochures - all produced in house by Mercia.
Amanda said, "It's a great honour to be recognised as a DCCT preferred supplier. We admire tremendously the work the Derby County Community Trust do. Their commitment to helping ‘real people' achieve better things in their life is very uplifting and rewarding".
DCCT are committed to helping the local community. Their success being rewarded this year by winning the Derby Telegraph ‘Not-for-Profit Organisation' of the Year Award.
DDCT offer a wide range of activities and programmes to engage with a variety of people, helping to improve wellbeing, tackle inactivity and promote a positive lifestyle for those accessing its services. In the past year the charity has engaged with 17,000 participates, including children, the over 60s and those with disabilities, through more than 200 sessions.
Dawn Reid, the Regional Director for the BPIF in Derby also added, "As a not-for-profit organisation ourselves, we understand how these relationships can hugely help both our members and their local communities so this is great news both for Mercia and DCCT too."
