Bristol based e-commerce exporter wins Innovation Award
BPIF member, Mail Handling International (MHI) based in Bristol were delighted to clear a space in their boardroom trophy cabinet after scooping an Innovation Award at the Direct Commerce Association Autumn Conference 2018 in London recently.
Competing against a number of high-quality entries in the innovation category, MHI's advanced e-commerce delivery routing app wowed the judging panel, who were unanimous in selecting the firm as Direct Commerce Innovator 2018. MHI's entry for ‘Best Technological Tools' focused on the cutting edge Intelligent Routing Information System (IRIS), which, together with its supporting E-Commerce Route Optimising System (E-CROS) makes cross-border trading more accessible to online retailers, big or small. Developed entirely in house, this specialist software app has been continually evolved since its inception to provide exporters with an unrivalled choice of postal services and delivery options, available at exclusive wholesale rates.
Company Director and Founder, Alex Lawson heads up the R&D from the company's HQ on Feeder Road, Bristol and was especially proud to receive this kind of recognition from industry peers. He commented, "We put innovation at the centre of what we do, and the services we provide to our clients are channeled through our very own industry-leading software that has helped redefine the way mail is moved around the globe."
Likewise, CEO Paul Brown, was left beaming when the winners were announced. He said, "I'm incredibly proud of the team effort it took to make the shortlist and win this award, in front of some of the country's leading online retailers. We crafted an entry that the judges clearly loved and winning really showcases our specialism in global e-commerce delivery."
Dawn Reid added, "This is great news for the team, MHI have grown into a global operation over the years, largely thanks to their industry leading postal optimisation technology, which makes it possible even for smaller retailers to reach new and emerging markets easier than ever before - well done to all involved."
