BPIF ‘blaze a trail’ this National Apprenticeship Week
In a recent survey conducted by Docebo a third of UK workers don't feel qualified for their current job and more than half don't think their co-worker is either, this is why it is more important than ever to celebrate the power of apprenticeships. An apprenticeship can be undertaken by people of all ages, they are not just for entry level positions. In fact at the BPIF we have over 100 learners on management apprenticeships who range between the ages of 18-63.
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is from 4 - 8 March and is an annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships and the impact apprenticeships have on individual, employers and the economy, with the theme this year being blazing a trail.
This year throughout NAW, the BPIF will be hosting a range of events and activities to help celebrate the fantastic opportunities print apprenticeships offer.
Be inspired – BPIF apprentices gather to hear from industry leaders at Bluetree Group
On the first day of NAW the BPIF will be kicking things off in style with an inspiring apprentice event, where attendees will hear from inspirational speakers, including previous apprentices, from ProCo, Sainbury's/Argos, Precision Printing and Bluetree Group.
The forum will be hosted at Bluetree Group and apprentices will benefit from a tour and have the great opportunity to network with industry peers.
All travel expenses for apprentices will be paid for by The Printing Charity.
If you have an apprentice that would like to attend please email Sophie Chater at [email protected]
Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair
The BPIF along with several members will be attending the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair on 4 March, to discuss specific apprenticeship opportunities and career paths at their respective businesses, as well as promoting the wider print industry to school leavers.
If you're interested in being involved at the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair or advertising your apprenticeship opportunity there please email Darren Shepherd at [email protected]
Apprentice Newsletter
Issue 4 of the BPIF Apprentice Newsletter, created by BPIF Apprentice Council will be landing, including highlights on where an apprenticeship can take you, past National Apprenticeship Weeks and much, much more.
If you have an apprentice who would be interested in joining the BPIF Apprentice Council please email Sophie Chater at [email protected]
