BPIF ‘blaze a trail’ this National Apprenticeship Week
Promoting print to over 6000 students and facilitating a visit to innovative business Bluetree Group for our apprentices, we're celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2019, get involved!
On the first day of National Apprenticeship Week 2019, Monday 4 March, the BPIF will be kicking things off in style with an inspiring apprentice visit to Bluetree Group in Rotherham. Bluetree Group is an award-winning market leader in online print, and comprises two customer facing brands: instantprint and Route 1 Print. Bluetree Group excels in selling standardised, cost effective, high quality print products, thanks to an innovative manufacturing facility coupled with pioneering web-to-print operations.
Throughout the day apprentices will hear from inspirational speakers such as Jon Bailey, from ProCo, and Kelly O'Sullivan, from Sainsbury's/Argos. In addition, Chris Pinborough and Billy Gibbs o'Riordan will speak about their apprentice journeys at Precision Printing. The Printing Charity will be talking to apprentices about their Print Futures Awards and drupa will be revealing a special Apprentice Award.
Apprentices will receive a tour of Bluetree's innovative manufacturing facility and the day will end with a round table discussion led by PrintWeek on the ‘future of apprenticeships' and ‘apprenticeships role in print.'
After the visit the BPIF will then be promoting print apprenticeships to over 6000 students at the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair. This event will kick-start a range of activities taking place throughout the city for National Apprenticeship Week. Along with their members and The Stationers' Company, the BPIF will be on hand to discuss specific apprenticeship opportunities and career paths in print and communications that visiting students can undertake.
The BPIF Apprentice Council will also release the 4th issue of their Apprentice Newsletter, including highlights on their new BPIF Apprentice Twitter, past National Apprenticeship Weeks and much, much more.
