BPIF promotes the industry at Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair
7 North East member companies were involved in the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair event, as part of National Apprenticeship Week to promote and showcase the amazing opportunities a print apprenticeship can offer.
The event taking place at Leeds Direct Arena on Monday 4 March, was attended by approximately 6500 students, with a total of 75 companies exhibiting.
BPIF members brought along interesting printed collateral, which stimulated a lot of conversations with the students present, and actively got them participating in conversations with members about the career opportunities in print.
Not only that, but two apprentices from members were on hand to discuss their career paths to date with students, which was of real interest to the students who visited the stand.
To also help members who were unable to attend the event, a vacancy flyer and apprentice brochure was produced to set-out the career paths and typical skill sets that students may demonstrate that would lend them to be a good fit for these roles.
Engaging schools and students is extremely important to our industry, so if you would like advice and support to cover local apprenticeship events, or school engagement programmes in your area please contact Darren Shepherd on 07714 134655 or at [email protected] for guidance.
