Happy Birthday to Mercia Image Print & Design
Mercia Image, the Little Eaton based printers established in 1989, are a not only a real Derbyshire success story following on from their prestigious awards last year of Small Business of The Year (East Midlands Chamber off Commerce) and ‘Preferred Print Supplier' for DCFC Community Trust - the company is now celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Amanda Strong, owner and MD, has been at the helm since the very beginning - when the company first started in a spare bedroom, just outside of Derby. Some thirty years later, Amanda has steered Mercia through the tough times, with a dedication and commitment that has kept customers totally loyal, to the position of Derby's most successful and established commercial printer. Amanda said "30 years in Print is a major achievement within our industry and being a woman at the helm, in a male dominated industry, has been particularly tough and challenging but also very rewarding. Despite all the turmoils in the industry, we have always stayed true to our ethos and knew that 'never compromising quality' would be a winning business formula for us"
Throughout their 30 years in business, Mercia have raised money for chosen local and national charities. So, to celebrate the fabulous milestone of 30 years in print, Amanda is launching the initiative - 30 Days of Giving - working with 30 Companies, to raise £30,000 for 30 Charities in 30 Days.
Dawn Reid, Regional Director for the area, added ‘this is a great way to both celebrate a milestone and give back to local charities - I will be personally donating and good luck to the team on their initiative.
