Graham Jones MP visits Point Control Print Finishing Ltd
Following on from the July 2019 BPIF AGM, Book Binding Print Finisher Point Control Print Finishing Ltd.'s local MP Graham Jones (for Haslingden & Hyndburn, who was unavailable to meet up at the AGM due to other commitments) took time out of his summer recess schedule, to visit Point Control at Huncoat Industrial Estate, Accrington on Friday 9th August.
The visit coincided with the PUR binding of the newly designed Burnley Football Club programme, printed by B & D Print of Preston.
Graham, who has previously worked in the Print Industry, prior to becoming an MP in 2010, had a site tour with Managing Director, Richard Berwick, which included seeing the first programmes hot off the binding line.
This season's Burnley F.C. programme, has changed to a square format incorporating a new 6pp cover. The cover has a perforated flap, which contains collector cards, for the Burnley Fans to save over the season.
The new concept came from Burnley FC and began with a request from the club to have tear out collector cards. This led to many conversations and a collaboration of skill sets from Design, Print, Book Binding, Spot UV and Cutting Form specialists and took quite a few weeks to crack their request, which has resulted in the successful finished design of the programme, which will be rolled out for the 2019/20 Premier League Season.
