MP visits local Rugby member John Good
Following an introduction at the BPIF's recent Members' Day at the Houses of Parliament, Rugby MP, Mark Pawsey, kindly accepted the offer of a visit to John Good based in his constituency this week.
John Good are probably best known for their production of theatre programmes, however they are also the UK's largest publisher of theatre and arts programmes, producing more than twelve million programmes and brochures for the arts each year.
Simon McKay, John Good's Operations Director was introduced to Mark at the APPPG Reception by Carys Davis, who head up BPIF's Public Affairs. She added, "At the BPIF, we're always looking for ways to connect our members with the country's decision-makers. We think showing MPs first-hand how print works, and sharing with them our ideas for how the Government can support our industry.
Simon added, "Mark was more than pleased to accept my offer. We met initially in the garden at John Good whilst the weather held and chatted briefly before embarking on a tour of the premises and introductions to a few key members of the team."
Dawn Reid, Regional Director for the BPIF attended the tour also and added, "Mark shared with us his experience of running a company in the packaging sector, and we discussed some of the issues around the very topical matter of single use plastics as well as the general information sharing of what one of his local constituency employers does in addition to the printing element of the business."
