Zenith Print Group orders second Speedmaster

Zenith Print Group orders second Speedmaster

Welsh based BPIF member, Zenith Print Group ordered the first press of this specification last year to open up new packaging and commercial opportunities for the company as it uses both UV and conventional inks. They have now placed an order for their second new machine which will be installed early 2020. The Group, headquartered in Treforest, Pontypool, which comprises Zenith Media and Zenith Print & Packaging across 2 sites, as well as three further bases solely dedicated to its digital print and display graphics arm C3 Imaging.

Zenith Print Group Managing Director, John Mooney, said, "As expected, the first hybrid or combination press has run three-quarters of the time as a conventional press along with having the ability to quickly and easily change to UV is a real advantage. This is ideal equipment for our company, which handles both commercial and packaging work, requiring different stand-out finishes. All our consumables are supplied by Heidelberg because we trust them to have tested them for different applications and it means we have one port of call if anything does go wrong and we need advice. We rely on their knowledge and first-rate support."

Dawn Reid, Regional Director for the area added; "The group has been undertaking an extensive investment programme over the past couple of years. It's great to see this kind of investment programme in the current climate and can only serve to increase the commercial opportunities available to the Group - with or without a smooth exit!"
