Falconer Print & Packaging Ltd inspire clients and potential clients
Falconer Print & Packaging Limited's innovation "The Little Book of Inspiration" was created to provide clients and potential clients with a ‘go to' reference when designing cartons and packaging. The pages push the boundaries of carton production whilst being totally deliverable.
The book is in its infancy and will develop into an encyclopaedic reference for print, print finishes and embellishments. It uses a whole host of materials from super premium and high grade, to standard carton board. Falconer's in-house designer created and formulated the pages to enable every market sector to envisage full application, of the innovations, within their own product. The designers' knowledge, of all their processes, has been key to making sure the book looked high premium, and all finishes could be achieved, whilst being fit for purpose.
Everything contained in the book is produced, in house, with one facet being the adaptability, across substrates, providing options, where variable cost base, for the client, exists. This ensures there is something for everyone, stimulating ideas and adding value, to the client. The production staff, at Falconer, have worked hard to establish this synergy, and all are proud of what has been achieved.
As a marketing tool it has really raised the bar and helped their Business Development Managers attain qualified leads. Year to date they have delivered 700 books; all have been well received. This has produced some exceptional cartons, with stunning concepts, all, of which, have come from the inspiration pages. They will be adding more themed pages, however, their next key area will be a green offering. This will be launched, in February, at Packaging Innovations, at the NEC. The green options will cover a whole host of issues, from recycling and the potential reduction of carbon footprints, to alternative materials, relating to the same. All these will be dealt with in their February launch.
Falconer have requested the recipient, of the book, fill in a survey form, which asks them to indicate which pages they thought were the best. In addition, it prompts whether the recipient believes other concepts need to be included. They will then decide what requires adding, to give an enhanced range of ideas and embellishments, thus complementing the existing designs, whilst adding value.
One key, to the development of the book, has been the support from suppliers. All have taken on the brief to bring something new to market and accentuate the norm. The tactility of the book, its looks and impact, from die, foil and material suppliers, has enabled them to create the wow factor.
Lastly and most importantly has been the support, at Falconer, of the production team, designers, commercial guys and management. Everyone bought into the concept and took great pride in producing such an exceptional book of print designs, embellishments and effects, to launch, into the market, for all to see.........and utilise!
