Raconteur Report - The Future of Packaging

The special report "The Future of Packaging" as published by Raconteur for The Times is available for you to download.

The Future of Packaging special report, published in The Times covers how sustainable packaging, and particularly the search for non-plastic alternatives, remains high on the agenda. This can be seen in a new focus on the supply chain, government initiatives to improve recycling, and the rise of pioneers of eco-friendly solutions. The report also explores a new emphasis on customer experience, championed by direct-to-consumer brands and companies who are embracing inclusive design to make packaging more accessible to blind and disabled people.

Survey data from Two Sides research has been utilised in the report to illustrate consumer preferences for packaging. Taken from their 2018 survey of UK adults, the results found that paper & cardboard was the most preferred packaging material for environmental-friendliness, recyclability and practicality.
