BPIF School Engagement Programme

BPIF School Engagement Programme

The BPIF has the ambition to create a School Engagement Programme to help bridge (the much publicised) skills and age gap, along with diversity and social inclusion in the industry. To get the ball rolling an initial workshop for the programme was held in West Yorkshire on the 15 January which gained fantastic support and momentum with 29 member companies attending from across the UK. The workshop provided a forum to explore the needs of members, schools and students across the UK and gained an understanding of the needs across Europe.

The BPIF launched a portal that will enable volunteers in England and Scotland to link up with local schools to provide support for careers days, mock interview sessions and a host of school activities. Further opportunities for school engagement were shared along with the experiences of members and BPIF colleagues who have taken part in various sessions at schools.

A follow up meeting has been set for 31 March where we will build on the development, present on formalised outputs and develop resources, click here to book your place.

This programme will also be rolled out across other regions.

To discuss how your organisation can take part in this programme please contact Meeka Walwyn-Lewis on 01924 203335 or email [email protected]
