Inspire the next generation – join us at Skills North West 2020

The BPIF have booked a stand at Skills North West 2020 - apprentice fair, which is to be held at EventCity, Manchester on 25 and 26 March 2020.

Darren Shepherd and several colleagues will be manning the stand over 2 days to discuss the roles and opportunities available within the print industry, and provide information on the wide range of apprenticeships that are available to students.

Over 8000 students are expected to attend, and experience from exhibiting at similar events suggests we are in for a busy couple of days.

We need local members to support this, attend, and help spread the word about the career opportunities in the industry, if you are interested in taking part please let us know.

Below is some feedback from members who have supported similar events this year:-

• We were really busy which speaks volumes, so the attraction was there with more kids than ever looking at apprenticeships rather than "racking up" a £60K student debt.
• The calibre of students was good.
• Clear messages of what we were offering at the top of the banners meant people could easily see and then approach us if we were of interest to them.
• The leaflet that you'd produced explaining the different careers within the industry was very useful to give out.
• The team enjoyed it and were happy with the calibre of the potential apprentices. It has given us contacts to create a pipeline for: a) immediate availability (b) Sept 2020 availability and (c) September 2021 availability.
• Do it again - definitely!

BPIF are going to produce a vacancy leaflet, detailing all live or upcoming apprenticeship vacancies at BPIF member companies across Greater Manchester and the surrounding area.
