INTEGRATED COMMUNICATIONS PROVIDER ADARE SEC FURTHER STRENGTHENS EXECUTIVE TEAM WITH COMMUNISIS DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

INTEGRATED COMMUNICATIONS PROVIDER ADARE SEC FURTHER STRENGTHENS EXECUTIVE TEAM WITH COMMUNISIS DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

Integrated communications provider Adare SEC has further enhanced the industry-leading credentials of its executive team with the appointment of a new director of growth and client development.

Allan Rowan joins the business after almost six years at customer communications provider Communisis where he was most recently sales and marketing director. He joins an executive team of five which has been strengthened significantly since the appointment of Rachael Nevins as chief executive officer in 2018.

Thanks to a commitment to its people-first culture and an in-depth understanding of the evolving customer communications landscape, Adare SEC’s executive team is now well-placed to overcome the challenges posed by Covid-19 and ensure the company is fully equipped for further growth and development.

In the newly created role, Allan will be responsible for overseeing client relationships, account management and sales development activities. As part of this, he will be working closely with the wider executive team to collaboratively develop a sales strategy which amplifies Adare SEC’s portfolio of customer-centric products and services and builds on the history and heritage of the brand.

Adare SEC’s latest senior appointment comes soon after the company announced a 52 per cent increase in EBITDA to £5.401m and a £1.7m increase in revenues to £71.4m for the year to 31 October 2019.

Commenting on his appointment, Allan said: “Like many businesses in our industry, Adare SEC has had to adapt at pace to the economic and cultural changes posed by Covid-19 and the manner in which it has done so has been admirable.

“The company’s latest financial results provided Adare SEC with the strong foundations and resilience needed to face this latest challenge head on. This has enabled the business to remain agile and continue to deliver service excellence throughout these current set of circumstances.

“I’ve been impressed at how Adare SEC has introduced new ways of working, developed new technologies and introduced new procedures that our clients can rely on and that we can use as a catalyst for growth. I’m excited to get started and I look forward to helping the business and my colleagues to build on its longstanding heritage and experience.”

The Huddersfield-headquartered company employs close to 400 people and has additional facilities in Redditch and Nottingham. Last year, Adare SEC produced and sent around 750 million critical customer communications, in both physical and digital formats.

The company provides supplies to the NHS and UK government bodies and supports many other clients in the management of mandatory and regulatory communications. These include multinational commercial bank Santander, financial services company Allianz and global professional services firm Aon.

With more than 20 years’ experience at senior and board level within the customer communications industry, Allan has also held a number of client-facing roles at businesses operating in sectors ranging from financial services and insurance to FMCG.

Welcoming Allan to the business, Adare SEC’s chief executive officer, Rachael Nevins, said: “Allan has a wealth of experience in customer communications and delivering business growth. This newly created role will harness Allan’s expertise and further enable us to continue to delight and inspire our clients whilst providing the highest standards of service excellence.

“Our clients are relying on us for support with their critical communications throughout the challenging circumstances of Covid-19. Our executive team is now stronger than ever and will play an invaluable role in ensuring we continue to meet the same high standards they have come to expect.”

In addition to Allan, Adare SEC’s executive team comprises chief executive officer, Rachael Nevins; chief financial officer, Christian Dickson; chief operating officer, Tom Prestwich; chief digital and information officer, Andrew Herd; and marketing and solutions director, Mike Quate.
