Print Sector could lose the Climate Change Levy (CCL) discount
BEIS is currently consulting on the proposals for a future Climate Change Agreements scheme to replace the current scheme when it finishes in 2025.
One of its proposals is to streamline the existing eligibility criteria, and the concern is that the printing sector will not qualify under the new criteria.
This would mean the sector could lose £11m annually at a time when energy prices are rising dramatically.
The BPIF will be responding to the consultation document on behalf of the industry and your views would be welcome. It recently ran a webinar to gather views of CCA participants and explain the proposals from BEIS and the likely responses from the BPIF. The webinar can be viewed below.
The consultation document can be found at Climate Change Agreements (CCAs): proposals for a future scheme - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
